HS Football: Warwick vs. Manheim Central (9-23-22)

On SportsTalk's Annual "L-L Football Coaches Show", the guys talked with Garden Spot Head Coach Matt Zamperini, who enters his 3rd year in charge of the Spartans! Hear what Coach Z had to say about his team & what he feels the strengths are that will lead them to victory!

Manheim Central took Round #1 of the Section 2 Showdown with Ephrata... 31-17! Lady Mounts jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, but Central clamped down defensively & finished the game on a 31-10 run!

-- Maddie Knier (MC) led all scorers with 15 points

-- Jasmine Griffin (Eph) was held to a season-low 5 points

Round #2 is Tuesday, January 31 in Manheim! (will NOT be televised on Blue Ridge)

Warwick Warriors took over the top spot in Section 2 after beating RIVAL Ephrata 63-46! Strong performance from Caleb Johnsen, who erupted with a Game-High 19 points for the Warriors! Marcus Hardin had 13 points for the Mounts!

-- Warwick improved to 5-0 in Section 2 play & has a showdown coming up with Manheim Central on Wednesday, January 17!
