Boys Volleyball: Manheim Central vs. Cocalico (4-23-24)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk... we continued to talk about the Winter Sports Season & check back in on our local boys basketball teams! Cocalico's "Cinderella Story" in the HS Football postseason came to an end in the 5A PIAA State Semifinals with a 34-12 loss against District 7 Champ, Pine-Richland! The Eagles, who came in as the 5A District 3 Champs feel behind 21-0 at the half & could complete the 2nd half comeback! Cocalico ends their season 10-5 with the program's 4th District Title & 3rd appearance in the State Semifinals!

Eagles are SOARING! ?⚪️? Cocalico Boys won their 5th straight game, knocking off Elco Friday...48-39! Trey Rios & Carter Nuneville led the Eagles in a 3 point barrage against the Raiders with 9 total team 3’s! Rios had 18, Nuneville had 15! Check out the highlights...

ABSOLUTE THRILLER in girls volleyball! Garden Spot beat Manheim Central 3-2 in a hard-fought, back & forth, exciting matchup! Spartans won Games 2, 3 & 5 and the Lady Barons won Games 1 & 4! Summer Stern had 34 digs in the match for Garden Spot, Alayna Horst led the way with 14 kills!

-- Spartans win the Section 2 Title with an 11-1 record! Next up, the L-L League Playoffs. Section 2 Champ gets a bye into the Semis on Thursday, October 17!
