Boys Soccer: Garden Spot vs. Manheim Central (9-19-22)

Hempfield Boys Volleyball makes a statement as they sweep Warwick 3-0, ending the Warriors unbeaten record! Black Knights also forced a tie atop the Section 1 standings! Both teams have now won on their home courts... if they win out, Warwick & Hempfield will share the title! Will we see a Round #3? Manheim Central’s Offense went into “Attack Mode” early scoring 4 Goals in the 1st half against Hershey! Final score = 4-0… Lady Barons are 3-0 to start the season!

ABSOLUTE THRILLER in girls volleyball! Garden Spot beat Manheim Central 3-2 in a hard-fought, back & forth, exciting matchup! Spartans won Games 2, 3 & 5 and the Lady Barons won Games 1 & 4! Summer Stern had 34 digs in the match for Garden Spot, Alayna Horst led the way with 14 kills!

-- Spartans win the Section 2 Title with an 11-1 record! Next up, the L-L League Playoffs. Section 2 Champ gets a bye into the Semis on Thursday, October 17!

Ephrata & Warwick traded runs & the lead several times in their showdown, but it was Warwick with 5 runs in the final 2 innings to win 10-6! Warriors 7-8-9 hitters (Loraw, Meck & Valudes) reached base 11 times, scoring 7 runs!
