Baseball: Garden Spot vs. Cocalico (5-2-24)

On our annual "Sportstalk L-L Football Coaches Show Extravaganza", we chatted with Cocalico Football Head Coach Bryan Strohl about his Eagles squad! Cocalico stayed unbeaten (5-0) in Section 2 play with a 22-15 Win over Garden Spot! Lady Eagles Senior Danika Sauder scored her 200th Career Goal in the 1st quarter! Spartan Senior Gwen Varley answered with her 200th Goal in the 2nd quarter! Both girls had 9 goals each in the game, which is a season high for both!

In a rained-soaked game, Warwick boys kept it close at the half… 2-2, but Cocalico turned it on in the 2nd half to win 11-3! Eagles scored 8 unanswered goals after the break to blow the game wide open! Eagles start the season 4-0!

-- Andrew Digman had 3 goals for Cocalico, Brady Gallagher added 2 goals!

Manheim Central rallied late in the game to take Round 1 against Cocalico… 4-3! Barons exploded for 3 runs in the 6th inning, capped off by Ky Watson’s RBI 1b! Trevor Lowe picked up the Win! Trent Dickson threw 6 solid innings with 7 K's, but was chased in the 6th! Nolan Book also blasted a solo home run for the Barons! Central has now won 3 straight Section 3 games!
