Garden Spot knocked off Cocalico 8-0… earning a much needed win for their League playoff hopes, which kept them in pace with Manheim Central for the 2nd spot in Section 3! Spartans also won the season series 2-1 vs. the Eagles!
🔹Spartan pitcher Ryder Hertzler threw 6 scoreless innings… with 2 hits & 11 K’s! He had a no-hit bid busted up in the 5th! Teammate Connor Manning came in to preserve the shutout!
Ephrata boys soccer opened their season playing a full 100 minutes to a 1-1 draw against Governor Mifflin! Mounts Michael Straubel scored in the 28th minute to give Ephrata the lead, but Mustangs clanged one home off the crossbar right before halftime! Both keepers closed it down after that! Senior Austin Fries was Fantastic in goal for the Mounts!

What a clash between fantastic 5A Girls Basketball squads! Cocalico & Gettysburg left it all out on the court! We saw 3’s...stellar defense & even a career milestone! In the end, Gettysburg advanced 44-39! Cocalico Senior Izzy Mack led the team 12 points (4-3’s)! Senior Hannah Custer had 8! A great season for Cocalico ends at 16-4, with a Section 3 Title! The Ephrata Mounts are once again BACK ON TOP of the L-L Baseball mountain after beating Lampeter-Strasburg 4-3 in the League Finals! It's Ephrata's first League Title since 2018 & the 5th overall for the program!
