It was a pitcher’s duel on full display, with each Starting Pitcher giving up just 1 earned run… but the Stormers came up just short after an exciting 9th inning at Clipper Magazine Stadium ?⚾️? Softball: Cocalico vs. Manheim Central (4-23-25)
Cocalico and Manheim Central were locked in a tight ballgame that came down to the final innings... as the Lady Barons rallied to win 5-4! Cocalico took the early 3-0 lead, with runs by Kira Lehman, Gretchen Showalter & Clarissa Lockman... but Central plated 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd with a 2 RBI single from Abbi Logan! Lady Barons would take the 4-3 lead in the 4th & tack on another run in the 5th! Cocalico cut it to 5-4 late, but could not plate the tying run! Lancaster won a rain-soaked game against Southern Maryland 10-3 to complete the 3-game sweep of the Blue Crabs! Stormers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning & kept scoring every inning for the next 5 innings! Shawon Dunston & Trace Loehr each homered, while Damon Dues knocked home 3 more runs! Brady Tedesco threw 7.1 strong innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 9 batters!
-- Lancaster is on the road to visit the Lexington Legends for a weekend series, before returning home next week to face Hagerstown for the FINAL series to air on Blue Ridge 11 TV this Summer!
HS Wrestling: Section 2 – Manheim Central vs. Ephrata (1-3-24)
Manheim Central narrowly escaped Ephrata with a 30-29 victory that came down to the Final bout of the night! After a hard fought, back & forth match that saw Central lead early and Ephrata fight all the way back to take the lead… Barons Brodie Daugherty (189lbs) won by tech fall (19-4) to seal the Win!

An absolute CLASSIC District 3 Playoff softball game! #9 Ephrata & #8 Manheim Central traded runs & Momentum each inning, putting on a THRILLING show for the fans in attendance!
-- Lady Mounts led early 3-2... Lady Barons fought back to make it 4-4!
-- Ephrata re-took the lead 8-4 in the 6th... Central stormed back to tie it 8-8!
-- Ephrata answered right back in the 7th with 8 runs... 16-8!
-- Bottom 7th, Central clawed back to make it 16-14, but the rally ended short there!
-- Ephrata advanced to the 5A Quarterfinals on Thursday, May 25 against #1 Solanco
