Atlantic League Baseball Playoffs: Southern Maryland vs. Lancaster (9-20-22)

In Game 1 of the Atlantic League North Division Championship Series… Southern Maryland came away with a narrow 2-1 win over Lancaster! It was a pitcher’s duel on full display, with each Starting Pitcher giving up just 1 earned run… but the Stormers came up just short after an exciting 9th inning at Clipper Magazine Stadium ?⚾️? Baseball: Ephrata vs. Warwick (3-17-25)

Ephrata opened up the 2025 High School Baseball Season with a 12-2 Win over cross-town rival Warwick! Mounts Junior pitcher Camryn Simes (1-0) struck out 10 Warwick batters thru 6 innings, giving up 1 hit & 2 runs! Leadoff hitter Ethan Hunt reached base ALL 5 at-bats, scored 4 times (4 BB, 1b, 4 runs, 2 RBI)... The Warriors’ 4 pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts of their own, but gave up 9 walks & hit 4 batters!

🔹Both teams are back at it this week… Ephrata (1-0) hosts Donegal on Wednesday, March 19 at War Memorial Field (7pm)… Warwick (0-1) goes to Hempfield on Friday, March 21 (4:15pm)

Boys Volleyball: Manheim Central vs. Cocalico (4-23-24)

Manheim Central looked every bit a Top 3 AA team in the state of PA against Cocalico! Barons won 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-17)... handing the Eagles their only 2 losses in Section 2 play this year! Central also has yet to drop a game in a match this season (30-0 vs. opponents)! Barons improved to 8-0!

Girls Basketball: Manheim Central vs. Cocalico (12/17/24)

Manheim Central stretched a 2 point lead after 3 quarters into a 37-22 Win over Cocalico, thanks to lockdown 4th quarter effort! Gianna Walters had ALL of her Game-High 14 points in the 2nd half for Central! Maddie Gehman added 11 points & Lilah Walters chipped in 10 points (both Walters Sisters combined 9-9 from the free throw line) This is the only meeting between these 2 teams this season! 🔹Kira Lehman led Cocalico with 11 points!

5A District 3 Girl’s Basketball: Gettysburg vs. Cocalico (3/5/21)

What a clash between fantastic 5A Girls Basketball squads! Cocalico & Gettysburg left it all out on the court! We saw 3’s...stellar defense & even a career milestone! In the end, Gettysburg advanced 44-39! Cocalico Senior Izzy Mack led the team 12 points (4-3’s)! Senior Hannah Custer had 8! A great season for Cocalico ends at 16-4, with a Section 3 Title!
