Atlantic League Baseball: Lexington vs. Lancaster (7-20-23)

Cocalico jumped out to an early 3-0 lead at halftime against Donegal! Lady Eagles went onto win this one 5-0, in the 1st EVER playoff meeting between these L-L League foes! Chloe Martin (Cocalico's leading scorer) netted 2 goals... while Kira Lehman, Brielle Martin & Liv Smith also added goals! Cocalico punched their ticket back to the District 3 Semifinals in back to back seasons (2024 & 2023... only time in program history that's happened)

▪️ 3A District 3 Girls Soccer Semifinals: #3 Cocalico hosts Section 2 RIVAL #10 Manheim Central - Monday, October 28 (Talon Field - 7pm) 

Cocalico ended Ephrata's undefeated season with a 66-58 victory in the "Backyard Brawl"! Eagles Sophomore Camden Ochs had a monster night...23 points; Aaryn Longenecker chipped in 15! Four Mounts scored in double figures but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback... Cocalico grabbed the bragging rights for another year!

In Game 1 of the Atlantic League North Division Championship Series… Southern Maryland came away with a narrow 2-1 win over Lancaster! It was a pitcher’s duel on full display, with each Starting Pitcher giving up just 1 earned run... but the Stormers came up just short after an exciting 9th inning at Clipper Magazine Stadium ?⚾️? Garden Spot knocked off Cocalico 8-0… earning a much needed win for their League playoff hopes, which kept them in pace with Manheim Central for the 2nd spot in Section 3! Spartans also won the season series 2-1 vs. the Eagles!

🔹Spartan pitcher Ryder Hertzler threw 6 scoreless innings... with 2 hits & 11 K’s! He had a no-hit bid busted up in the 5th! Teammate Connor Manning came in to preserve the shutout!
