Atlantic League Baseball: Lexington vs. Lancaster (7-18-23)

Garden Spot came away with a big Section 3 win over Manheim Central… 28-9! Gabe Martin & Andrew Pemberton accounted for all 4 of the Spartans TD’s! 2 rushing for Martin, 1 TD toss to Pemberton, who also ran the 2nd half kickoff back for a 92yd TD! Central scored both a TD & a safety on blocked punts!

▪️ Garden Spot improved to 4-4… Manheim Central fell to 3-6!

In Game 2 of the L-L League 🏐 Semifinals, Cocalico made Warwick work for the victory… stealing Game 4 (30-28)! But the Warriors ultimately won 3-1 over the Eagles to punch their ticket back to the League Finals for the 4th straight year! Kyle Charles had 23 kills in the win!

Hempfield Boys Volleyball makes a statement as they sweep Warwick 3-0, ending the Warriors unbeaten record! Black Knights also forced a tie atop the Section 1 standings! Both teams have now won on their home courts... if they win out, Warwick & Hempfield will share the title! Will we see a Round #3? Ephrata wins Round #2 against Conestoga Valley in a tight one… 6-3! Nathan Savage went the distance for the Mounts for the W & had 4 K’s, 2 BB! Top 3 Ephrata hitters (Hunt, Prange, Wolf) scored 5 of the 6 Mounts runs… Custer added the 6th run!
