2024 L-L League Football Media Day — Ephrata Mounts (8-2-24)

Ephrata Head Coach Kris Miller & several of his players sat down with us at this year’s football media day, held at the LNP Downtown Lancaster headquarters! Last year, the Mounts enjoyed their MOST successful season in program History, making it to the 5A District 3 Championship Game! Now as they embark on the 2024 Season, hear how Ephrata is focusing on a different group of guys!

Girls Basketball: Ephrata vs. Conestoga Valley (1-17-25)

Ephrata WON its 11th straight with a 58-50 victory over Conestoga Valley! Four Lady Mounts scored in double figures… Marie McCracken (15pts); Leah Caldwell (14pts); Alyssa Caldwell (13pts) & Emily Bender (11pts)! Azailya Washington scored a Season-High 23 points for the Buckskins, but it wasn’t enough as Ephrata hit 11 of 13 free throws in the 4th quarter!

🔸Ephrata (8-0) padded their lead in Section 2 over Conestoga Valley (6-2) winning both matchups this year!

L-L League Baseball Playoffs: Quarterfinals – Donegal vs. Ephrata (5-11-23)

Ephrata won decisively in their L-L League Quarterfinals match up with Donegal, beating the Indians 11-1 in 5 innings! Ben Burkey got the Win... Mounts top of the order(Schwanger, McCracken, Hurst) went 7-9 with 8 RBI & 5 runs scored!

-- Ephrata (Section 2 Champs) plays Lancaster Catholic (Section 4 Champs) Saturday in the League Semifinals at 1pm (War Memorial Field - Ephrata)

5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs – Quarterfinals: #9 Warwick vs. #1 Hershey (2-22-24)

In another fast-paced, entertaining District 3 playoff game… #9 Warwick came up just short against #1 Hershey… 62-58! Trojans’ 6’6” Isaiah Danner was a monster in the post, scoring 17pts & wracking up plenty of fouls on the Warriors! Caleb Johnsen led Warwick with 18pts (3-3’s)! Warwick did hit 11 - 3’s to stay in the game, but foul trouble & too many offensive boards by Hershey proved to be the difference!

▪️#9 Warwick now faces #5 Manheim Central in the District 3 consolation semis on Monday, February 26 at Doe Run Elementary (7PM)... it’ll be the 3rd meeting between the Section 2 foes!
