News General Assignment Reporter
Holly joined Blue Ridge News 11 in November 2016 and is a general assignment reporter. She hails from Pottstown and is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism. She also minored in Disability Studies. While in college, she was a reporter, producer and anchor for SUTV News – a student-run on-campus news station. Her time in the classroom and in the field helped earn her an Emmy award in the College Production category. This past September, Holly combined her passions. She accepted an Emmy among working media professionals across the Mid-Atlantic region for a story on secondary education options for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In her last semester at Shippensburg, Holly was a News Intern for WHTM-TV abc27 in Harrisburg. She worked alongside Daybreak producers and reporters to help sharpen her skills while maintaining a full course-load at school. She manages to juggle all this while also competing in pageants. Holly currently represents the city of brotherly love as Miss Philadelphia, a local affiliate of the Miss America Organization. In June, she competed for Miss Pennsylvania and placed Fourth Runner-up – a few points shy of representing PA at the Miss America pageant.
When she isn’t working, Holly loves volunteering, traveling, trying out new eats and of course, hanging out at home with her family and friends.
